Animal Services call turns into drug, gun charges

videoAn Animal Services investigation landed a New Hanover County in jail on drug and gun charges. New Hanover County Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Jerry Brewer says the Animal Services Unit showed up to 4217 Parmele Road to take custody of two dogs and four puppies due to a dangerous dog violation.

Witness description of crooks, car leads to quick arrest

New Hanover County Sheriff's deputies say a suspected thief was caught not long after the crime was committed. A spokesman says deputies were called Tuesday to a breaking and entering in progress at 4484 Amelia Ct. The witness gave investigators a description of three suspects and the license tag number of the car they used.

Adrian Point surrenders to face attempted murder charge

Youth violence is a 'crisis' in Wilmington
