Jordan Brand Classic tips off Saturday

New Hanover High School will be well represented in Charlotte on Saturday at the 11th Annual Jordan Brand Classic. The showcase event will be held at the home of the NBA Charlotte Bobcats. Kirk Angel named AP coach of the year for NC

New Hanover basketball coach Kirk Angel has been named the Associated Press high school coach of the year for boys basketball. Angel's team recently captured the state 4-A championship. The Wildcats finished the 2011-2012 season with a 30-1 record. This is the first time a Wilmington coach has been awarded the AP coach of the year recognition. Full story...
