On Tuesday we showcased two high school soccer games on WWAY. New Hanover edged Laney in the Mideastern Conference opener for both squads. Coastal Christian knocked off South Brunswick. Three former New Hanover Wildcat football players are currently on the East Carolina football team. Coincidentally, Trevon Brown, Jacen Murphy and DaQuan Barnes are all wide receivers for the ECU Pirates. Barnes is the only one of three to see game action so far.
