Bryant hospitalized with fast heartbeat

Former East Bladen Eagle Desmond Bryant is currently in his fourth NFL season. Bryant was rushed to a hospital during Sunday's Oakland-Tampa Bay game due to a fast heartbeat.

Our main focus of attention occurred in Chapel Hill as we tracked three different Hoggard High graduates who all played a major part in the outcome of Saturday's NC State-North Carolina football game: Jonathan Cooper, Casey Barth and Wil Baumann... video On Monday the Ashley boys soccer team won the Mideastern Conference regular season title with a 1-0 shutout win over New Hanover.... On Monday we checked out practice at UNC Asheville. Panthers GM Hurney fired after team's 1-5 start

The Carolina Panthers have fired general manager Marty Hurney following the team's 1-5 start this season. Panthers owner Jerry Richardson says in release that it was an "extremely difficult decision" and that "Marty made every effort to bring success to the Panthers and took the team to a Super Bowl and two NFC championship games."
