Ross makes opening day NFL roster for first time

videoFor the first time in his career, Jay Ross will start the season on a NFL roster. The New Hanover High School and East Carolina grad announced the news on Twitter this afternoon that he has made the opening day roster for the Buffalo Bills.

Cooper's season over as Cardinals place Hoggard grad on IR

videoJonathan Cooper's season is officially over before it even began. The Arizona Cardinals, who selected the Hoggard High School and UNC grad with the seventh overall pick in April's NFL Draft, placed Cooper on season-ending injured reserve.

Judge: NFL, players to settle concussion lawsuits

West Bladen didn't even hit the field until Monday due to a wet field last week. Russell Dove picked up his first win ever as a head coach. Former Hoggard Viking Jonathan Cooper underwent surgery on Monday. Cooper broke his left leg over the weekend in a preseason game. Plus more!

Season ending injury for Jonathan Cooper?

First it was Connor Barth. Now former Hoggard football standout Jonathan Cooper is injured. The 2013 first round draft pick of the Arizona Cardinals broke his left leg Saturday night. Cooper and Barth are both Hoggard & UNC graduates.
