Owen Spencer was back on the sidelines watching the North Brunswick Scorpions on Friday night in Leland. The former Scorpion wide receiver was released from the Seattle Seahawks earlier this week.

The Seattle Seahawks released former North Brunswick Scorpion Owen Spencer on Saturday. It's the second release this week for Spencer, but Owen Spencer isn't heading back to Brunswick County. Instead, he signed with Seattle on Sunday as a member of their practice squad.

Jay Ross is now a free agent after his release from the Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers. He's one of 800 new free agents. Saturday is cut day in the NFL. All teams have to trim rosters down to 53 players. UPDATE: As of Sunday evening Ross has not been added to the practice squad of any of the 32 NFL teams.

Belville's Owen Spencer has been released by the NFL's Tennessee Titans. NFL teams have to trim their rosters to 80 by Tuesday afternoon. There will be more cuts prior to the start of the regular season.
