The Charlotte Hornets released their upcoming schedule on Wednesday. LeBron James will only make one appearance this season in Charlotte. North Brunswick High School has been added to the BB&T Jamboree lineup next month at Legion Stadium. This means all three high schools in Brunswick County will be included along with the four high schools from New Hanover County, Whiteville, South Columbus and Wallace-Rose Hill in the high school football showcase. Day one of the Fred Lynch Invitational is complete. Six different venues are being used in New Hanover County to showcase this three day high school basketball summer event. This year's senior class of baseball players has been one of the best to pass through the hallways of North Brunswick High School in Leland. On Friday the Scorpions played their final home game of the regular season. It was a fairly dramatic victory over Dixon. In fact the game included a grand slam! Full story...

Former New Hanover slugger Jordan Betts knocked in one of Duke's two runs on Friday night off NC State ace Carlos Rodon. Duke edged NC State 2-0. UNCW beat Hofstra 9-2 in college baseball action. The North Brunswick Scorpions made it all the way to the 2-A state finals last year in baseball. Most of last year's players are back for North Brunswick. We made a stop in Leland on Thursday night to check out North's home game against arch-rival West Brunswick. Flight 22 held a fundraiser on Thursday for the upcoming Big Shots season. Plus more!
