Owen Spencer was back on the sidelines watching the North Brunswick Scorpions on Friday night in Leland. The former Scorpion wide receiver was released from the Seattle Seahawks earlier this week.

The Seattle Seahawks released former North Brunswick Scorpion Owen Spencer on Saturday. It's the second release this week for Spencer, but Owen Spencer isn't heading back to Brunswick County. Instead, he signed with Seattle on Sunday as a member of their practice squad.

Belville's Owen Spencer has been released by the NFL's Tennessee Titans. NFL teams have to trim their rosters to 80 by Tuesday afternoon. There will be more cuts prior to the start of the regular season.

For months the North Brunswick High School Marching Band has been raising money to go to the nation's capital. Today all their hard work paid off, as the Scorpions marched in Washington, DC's 4th of July parade.
