It's been nearly five months since a deadly tornado struck the small Columbus County community. Eight people were killed. Dozens of homes damaged, many destroyed.
Saturday was a new day for some of those who lost their homes. They now have new homes built by volunteers.

Three months after a deadly tornado devastated a Columbus County community hammers are finally hitting nails in the rebuilding process. Nearly 100 volunteers from across the state have come together today to help families who lost their homes. It's been three months since a deadly tornado swept through Riegelwood, destroying the homes and lives of many in the community. But, now dozens of volunteers are putting on their hard hats and getting to work on rebuilding.
