The Southport-Fort Fisher ferry will run an abbreviated route Wednesday. The NCDOT says the normal schedule will resume Thursday morning.

The N.C. Department of Transportation’s Ferry Division suspended half the runs at the Southport-Ft. Fisher route Monday, due to a minor oil leak in the engine system of the Motor Vessel Southport.
