On the stand, David Hewett said it was possible Terri Oxford lacked respect for Chief Wally Layne because she had witnessed the chief at a crime scene with alcohol on his breath. Hewett also said he never investigated rumors of Layne's drinking on the job, even though he knew of them. Full story...

A former Holden Beach Police Officer says she lost her job because she's a woman. Now Terri Oxford is suing the Town of Holden Beach, and today she took the stand. Former Brunswick County Sheriff Ron Hewett has been subpoenaed for the trial. Full story...
