NC road deaths up over Thanksgiving

The Highway Patrol announced a preliminary number of 17 people who died on North Carolina highways during the Thanksgiving holiday period. The holiday period officially began at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26 and ended at midnight on Sunday, Nov. 30. Last year during the Thanksgiving holiday period, the highway patrol investigated ten fatal crashes.
