UNC Tar Heel Stilman White attended the Hoggard-New Hanover game. We talked with White and we showcased the Vikings & Wildcats along with the Laney-Ashley matchup in Buctown. The girls game at Laney went down to the wire. On Thursday we also featured Topsail as our team of the week. On Thursday night on WWAY we featured the championship game of the girls holiday high school basketball tournament at Laney High School. Undefeated Laney hosted Ashley, but the Bucs didn't capture the title. It went to the Screaming Eagles instead. Topsail High School's principal has been suspended, but no one is saying why. Pender County Schools spokeswoman Joyce Keith says Marcus Skipper was suspended Monday with pay. Keith said in an e-mail to WWAY, "There are no further comments." Full story...
