videoOn Tuesday on WWAY we checked out the home opener of the 4-A defending state champion New Hanover Wildcats. Tuesday marked the beginning of the Nathan Faulk era at Laney High School. Tuesday also marked the final game for Coastal Christian at their current basketball facility. The Centurions move into a new gym on Friday.

The UNCW Seahawks won their third home of the game of the season despite trailing most of the game against Hampton....The accolades for former Hoggard Viking Jonathan Cooper continue..... videoOn Tuesday night on WWAY we checked out high school basketball action from Shallotte, Rocky Point and Hampstead. This includes the first game of the season for the 4-A defending state champion New Hanover Wildcats.... On Tuesday the UNC Tar Heels were cold on the court in Hawaii, especially in the first half. The Tar Heels are no longer undefeated... Plus more, including a 138 point performance from one player on the basketball court !
