Forecast: Local economy will grow at national rate

videoIt's been four years since the end of the last recession. Dr. Woody Hall says employment is only four-percent higher than what it was then. Despite that, the economics and finance professor says the local economy will grow as rapidly as the nation's for the first time in about five years.

Army Ground Forces Band unable to perform at UNCW due to government shutdown

While the show must go on, it will be without the Army Ground Forces Band at UNCW Thursday due to the government shutdown. Instead, the Wind Symphony will perform solo.
