UNCW trustees approve tuition hike

video Tuition is likely going up again at UNC Wilmington. The UNCW Board of Trustees today approved a $283 tuition increase for in-state students for the 2013-14 academic year. The increase, though, is partially offset by a $138.60 overall reduction in fees.

City pulls student film's permit after questions about nudity

video In September, a UNCW student was arrested by a Wilmington Police officer that he claims used excessive force. The cell phone video was taken by the student's friend. The student believes it was a case of police brutality. You can decide for yourself.

UNCW employee charged for having child pornography

video In August, the Pender County Sheriffs Office arrested and charged 41-year-old Harvey Darrell Porter with six counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor after child pornography was found on his computer.

AIDS quilt founder brings message to UNCW

video AIDS activist Cleve Jones, creator of the Aids Memorial Quilt, will share his story at UNCW. Jones began the quilt in 1987 as a tribute to those who lost their lives to the disease. What began as a single patch now contains more than 46,000 and weighs about 54 tons.
