National power Tennessee added to UNCW swimming & diving schedule

UNCW creates position to focus on community partnerships

The University of North Carolina Wilmington has hired Jennifer B. Harris to fill a new position of Assistant to the Chancellor for Community Partnerships. She will join the university Monday, Sept. 19.

UNCW students come together to honor 9/11 victims

Students honored local first responders and those who served on September 11. The main attraction was the human formation of the twin towers surrounded by a pentagon. Thousands of students participated, and each held a name of one of the victims of 9/11.

UNCW campus curfew lifted, campus to re-open at 2:00 p.m.

The UNCW campus continues to assess damage and restore services after Hurricane Irene. The campus curfew will be lifted and students may leave the residence halls at 12 noon. The campus will reopen at 2 p.m., with services available in Randall Library, Fisher Student Center, Fisher University Union and Wagoner Dining Hall. Campus Dining will provide food services for students on campus.
