Wilmington native Josh Brock captured first place on the eGolf Tour on Saturday at St. James Plantation in Brunswick County. It's a $25,000 payday for the New Hanover High graduate and UNCW grad. Josh turned pro less than a year ago. Saturday's win marks his first professional victory. Check out Brock's reaction on Sunday's Coach's Corner on WWAY at 6pm.

The Republican race for the White House comes to North Carolina tomorrow, as former House Speaker Newt Gingrich holds a rally at UNCW, according to his deputy press secretary. The event is scheduled for 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Some UNC Wilmington students put the idea of turning trash into treasure into practice today.
Students worked together to build palm trees out of recyclable materials found around campus. The campus dining collected boxes, can lids and two-liter soda bottles to construct the trees.
