A classic car is touring the southeast for a good cause, but this vehicle isn't shiny or sleek. A 1952 Willys CJ-3 Jeep along with a USO jeep crew are giving area residents the chance to give video salutes to the military.

Veterans in Wilmington got some help with their health care today. The Rural Health Team from the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville visited the VFW post on Carolina Beach Road.

Veterans in our area will get a couple of chances next week to get help with their health care. The VA's Rural Health Team is making two stops in our area to enroll veterans in the system, and provide health screenings and information.

The lease has been signed for a new Veterans Administration clinic in Brunswick County. Rep. Mike McIntyre says the VA will take possession of the site June 1. He says operations are scheduled to begin the first week of August.
