East Bladen's Hastin McGill hit the game winner to give East Bladen a 46-44 win. It was the first victory for East Bladen over West Bladen since 2005. Pender defeated Trask in boys hoops. videoRasheed Brown of Trask was the frontrunner for WWAY's play of the night with a sensational slam dunk in the second quarter for Trask. It didn't end up being the play of the night though. Ashley's T.J. Williams ended up with that honor after he slammed home a dunk at the buzzer to give Ashley a one point win over New Hanover. Saturday Sports: It's a little bit of everything

Round three of the high school basketball playoffs is complete. Due to severe weather on Friday several playoff games were held on Saturday afternoon. The UNCW men's basketball team also played on Saturday. It turned out to be one of the worst defeats of the season for Buzz Peterson's squad. The UNCW men's swimming team once again is the CAA champ. WWAY has learned the Alamance-Burlington Schools superintendent has refused to let the team travel because of severe weather watches and warnings across the state.
