The Wilmington Hammerheads pro soccer squad held a tryout, a free youth clinic and a sale on team merchandise. On Sunday the Carolina Panthers more than held their own against the team with the best record in the NFC. We also provided a recap of Saturday's ACC-CAA showdown between UNCW & Georgia Tech.

On Monday on WWAY we took a pre-season look at the New Hanover boys basketball team. The Wildcats enter the new hoops season as defending 4-A state champs.... The Charleston Battery kept their perfect record in championship games intact on Saturday night at Blackbaud Stadium, capturing the 2012 USL PRO Championship against the Wilmington Hammerheads. |
