videoThe pairings are set for the CAA Men's Basketball Championship in Baltimore. Buzz Peterson's squad will open against Hofstra on Friday in the unofficial play-in game. The seven other CAA teams won't hit the court until Saturday. The Region X Men's Basketball Championship also begins on Friday. Brunswick Community College is the host school. Plus more!

videoOn Tuesday Laney, West Brunswick and Trask all participated in the state wrestling duals. We had highlights from Buctown. We also featured high school hoops as well. This included Ashley's sweep of Hoggard, Whiteville's win over West Columbus in boys basketball and West Bladen's victory over Pender. In football news Ashley head coach Tom Eanes has been named an assistant coach for the Shrine Bowl in December. Plus more!

Hammerheads release 2014 schedule

The schedule for the upcoming pro soccer season is out for the Wilmington Hammherheads. The season kicks off at Legion Stadium in early April for David Irving's squad.

videoOn Wednesday night the losing skid continued for the UNCW Seahawks and head coach Buzz Peterson. The Seahawks lost a heartbreaker on the road against the College of Charleston. Check out our game action. In high school hoops the East Bladen girls remained undefeated with a come from behind win over West Bladen. We had highlights from the East Bladen boys game too. Hammerheads, Toronto FC announce partnership

videoThe Wilmington Hammerheads of USL Pro now have an MLS partner. The Hammerheads will team up with Toronto FC. The partnership will open the door for the Hammerheads to loan players from Toronto once the USL Pro season kicks off in a few more months.

Former Hammerhead inks MLS deal

Luke Mulholland electrified Legion Stadium in 2011 as a member of the Wilmington Hammerheads. Three years later he's now in the MLS. Mulholland recently inked a deal with Real Salt Lake.

Hammerheads unveil new logo

The Wilmington Hammerheads unveiled a new logo on Friday. The team hopes the logo will further serve the club beginning with the upcoming 2014 USL PRO regular season. In conjunction with the creation of the logo came the collaborative decision to add ‘FC’ to the end of Wilmington Hammerheads.

Cape Fear CC lost to Wallace State and the UNCW women lost to Liberty in front of a record crowd at Trask Coliseum. We also had high school action involving Topsail, Trask, Union and West Brunswick.
