Wreaths were laid out at the national cemetery in Wilmington on Saturday. Hundreds of people came out to the annual ceremony done by an organization called Wreaths Across America as a remembrance of fallen veterans during the holidays.

videoThe Wilmington National Cemetery was the site of the Memorial Day service, hosted by the New Hanover County Veterans Council. During the Tolling of the Bells Ceremony, over six hundred names of local, fallen servicemen and women were read aloud.

Headstones get a holiday make-over

video What were once bare headstones had a holiday make-over this weekend at the Wilmington National Cemetery. Veterans and supporters attended a "Wreaths Across America Ceremony" where they showed respect for fallen and forgotten soldiers. Though everyone was pleased with the turnout, one veteran wishes the military had as much support.
