A man was found dead inside his home this morning after a shooting at a Wilmington housing project. Wilmington Police say an officer found Brian Grant, 32, inside his Creekwood apartment four years to the day since another murder in the area.

The North Carolina Department of Justice says crime is down across the state. According to its annual report, violent crimes fell by more than five percent last year, making the crime rate the lowest since 1977.
There has also been a decrease in those numbers here in Wilmington.
