It's another drug bust for the Wilmington Police Department. After receiving some complaints from neighbors, a member of the Wilmington Police Narcotics Unit checked in on Friday. A detective knocked on the door of 226 Davie Drive and then entered the residence upon receiving consent to search.

A Wilmington woman has been charged after a police officer rescued her from the Cape Fear River early Saturday morning. The woman gave false names before police could identify her as Lydian Beck, 20.

A body found in the Cape Fear River today is a missing Marine. LCpl. John J. Pruitt, 24, of Fontana, CA, was stationed at Camp Lejeune. He went missing late Sunday night.

A judge today sentenced Jonathan Lee Thompson, 52, to ten years and five months in prison followed by three years supervised release. Thompson must also pay more than $8,000 in restitution. Thompson was on supervised release after serving time for nine bank robberies when he robbed three Wilmington banks in 2009.
