video The Wilmington Housing Authority is under new leadership. Katrina Redmond starts as CEO August 4th. Redmond is looking to move forward in every aspect especially when it comes to crime. "When you look at redevelopment or developing new, crime has to be a part of your design," Redmond said.

WPD looking for man who robbed Family Dollar

Wilmington Police are asking for help identifying a man they believe robbed a store last week. Witnesses told police that last Tuesday a Hispanic male entered the Family Dollar Store at 1013 Market St. shortly before 10 p.m.

Rashawn Hines back in jail for attempted murder as prison sentence ends

Rashawn Hines, 19, was scheduled to released from state prison Friday, but he was booked again at the New Hanover County Jail the same day for two counts of attempted murder.
