Three men have been charged with manufacturing crystal meth in their apartment. Wilmington Police spokeswoman Lucy Crockett called meth "the poor man's cocaine" and said the drug is becoming more popular because of the combination of tough economic times and a relatively cheap drug recipe.

Wilmington City Councilman Charlie Rivenbark's son Travis is in critical condition Monday after being hit by a car while on his bicycle Saturday night. He suffered severe injuries including a broken neck.

Carol Ann Johnson was found dead in her Pine Valley Drive home lask week by her fiance more than a week ago. Wilmington police still won't release the cause of death or any other details from the autopsy because they say it could hinder the investigation.
