Chief, DA say Denk autopsy wrong

videoWilmington's police chief and the district attorney say they side with the family of a woman who died in a confrontation with police in disputing an autopsy report from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME). Grace Louise Denk died Jan. 28 after police say she raised a gun at officers, who then opened fire killing her.

UPDATE: Police release Saturday shooting victim's name

Police are still investigating a Saturday shooting that sent a man to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators say Bruce Lloyd, 36, was shot just before 3 p.m. Saturday near the 1300 block of Greenfield Street.

Sue Cuming says she was sitting in her back yard with her three dogs when she heard a loud pop, and her dog buddy yelp in pain. That's when she noticed blood running down his leg, and realized he was shot. But family of the alleged shooter say he was just trying to protect his family.

WPD offers little information about use of force investigation during strange news conference

He said the investigation did not stem from a citizen complaint.
