WPD officers responded to assist the Wilmington Fire Department behind P. T.’s Grill. WFD quickly extinguished a small fire in the woods. Officers located a 14–year-old male (juvenile) in the area, and upon questioning, he admitted that he was responsible for the fire.

Wilmington Police Officers tell us about 50 kids started fighting near 12th and Chestnut Streets this afternoon.
They say the fight continued down to 13th Street and then onto the playground at Rankin Terrace.

WPD investigators have been unsuccessful in locating the person(s) who killed two puppies on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. In response to media coverage, several animal welfare organizations have pledged money for a reward for anyone supplying information that leads to an arrest. Pledges currently total more than $2,000.
