Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Jonathan Cooper stopped by football practice for the Wilmington Tigers on Tuesday. The recent NFL first round draft pick will toss the coin for the Tigers prior to their season opener at Legion Stadium this coming Saturday. Alex Rodriguez went hitless on Tuesday in two at-bats for the Charleston RiverDogs in his first game since left hip surgery in January. We showcased Alex's comeback on Tuesday's WWAY sports. The Atlantic Coast Conference's plan to expand, revealed in 2010 and modified along the way, has come to fruition. Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Notre Dame became members of the ACC on Monday, giving the conference 15 members. The CAA also welcomed a new member on Monday. The College of Charleston is now officially a member of the Colonial Athletic Association. College football is coming to Wilmington in September. Plus more! Full story...
