WILMINGTON -- A Wilmington man is accused of kidnapping his girlfriend.
Police say Robert Chavis kidnapped his girlfriend around one o'clock in the morning from Darlington Avenue.
Police say Chavis forced the victim into his car and took her to his home off South Ninth Street.
Detectives say the woman convinced her captor to take her home and that's when Chavis threatened to kill the woman with a gun.
Chavis was later arrested at his home and charged with kidnapping and assault.
