Boiling Spring Lakes fire truck burned

Yesterday a Boiling Spring Lakes fire truck caught on fire inside the out of control blaze of St. James Plantation.

The truck stalled out while firefighters were responding to the fire. The firefighters made it out unharmed, but the truck burned to a crisp.

According to the fire department, the truck is covered by insurance, but the state wants to look into why it got so close to the flames in the first place.

Boiling Spring Lakes was one of seven fire departments to respond yesterday.
