WILMINGTON -- A local adult care facility is once again under fire for the way it cares for patients.
Last year the state inspected Jasmine Cove but allowed the troubled adult care home to remain open.
Now another former patient is accusing Jasmine Cove of poor treatment.
Mary Shepard checked her husband Michael into Jasmine Cove to recover from a head-on collision. She says they forgot to feed him, and after two weeks, she took him home.
Mrs. Shepard said, "The room itself was just filthy. I had to give him his baths, I had to do change all his bandages, I had to give him his shots. There's no one there that can give shots. It's just one big mess."
The Department of Social Services confirms Jasmine Cove has been investigated several times, but since October, says there have been no reports of problems at the facility.
