JACKSONVILLE -- A 62-year old Jacksonville man is in jail accused of sexual assaulting a young family member.
Authorities charged Paul Ingersoll with multiple sex offense counts.
The victim and her parents reported the crime on April 2.
Police say the crimes began when the victim was seven years old and continued for eight years.
Ingersoll confessed Tuesday and is being held without bond in the Onslow County jail.
