Good Friday Events

People in our area are celebrating the Easter holiday in different ways. Almost 50 people gathered at St. Mark's Episcopal church to walk the way of the cross. Different people helped to carry the wooden cross from Grace to Water Street, stopping 14 times to remember the events of the Passion. At the Hermitage House Retirement Community in Castle Hayne there was another type of celebration. It was a twist on the traditional Easter egg hunt. Seniors gathered to remember what it was like when they were young to spend time with family and hunt for Easter eggs. With all the events going on this weekend be safe, have fun, and focus on what matters most to you.
