Vote supports Air Force One museum

New Hanover County commissioners are in favor of bringing an Air Force One Museum to Wilmington. Monday night they voted to support the proposed museum.

Wilmington City Council has already expressed its support.

The $34 million museum would be located on a DOT plot of land near MLK Parkway and Kerr Avenue, and would be privately funded by money raised by the Air Force One museum board.

A final decision on the exact location is expected before the end of the month.
