RALEIGH (AP) -- North Carolina;s top law enforcement officer joined education officials today in announcing a new and thorough review of campus security, two days after the Virginia Tech massacre.
Attorney General Roy Cooper says he'll launch a task force to analyze safety protocols on the state's higher education campuses.
School administrators and security officers from around the state have already started a new assessment.
At North Carolina State, dorms are permanently locked and residents need a key or a card to enter. The school also uses e-mail and faculty liaisons in all buildings to distribute emergency information across its two-thousand-acre campus. Officials are considering a reverse 911 system.
Wake Forest University has gates that can quickly halt vehicle access to campus. East Carolina University can lock some of its campus buildings with the push of a button.

I think there should be more and better tight security on school grounds to make our children feel safe, also some work places as well.
