Local Martin Luther King Jr. celebrations

If you would like to take part in any Martin Luther King Jr. celebrations, here is some of what is going on around town.

The annual MLK Jr. Parade in Wilmington starts at noon. The parade begins on 5th and Castle streets.

In Navassa, the MLK March also starts at noon at Village and Navassa roads. It will end at town hall.

Also at noon, the Ocean View Missionary Baptist Association will hold the King Day Commemoration. That is located on Hwy 17 in Brunswick County, near Sunset Beach.
