Fire destroys old Rockefeller estate

Fire destroyed a 14-bedroom guesthouse on an old Rockefeller family estate near Fort Bragg Wednesday.

Army officials said the Bird Song building at Overhills Estate caught fire Wednesday morning. The area is part of the Fort Bragg's training area.

No training was taking place at the time.

The building was built in the early 1960’s as a guesthouse to handle overflow from the estate's mansion.

Officials said the building is not one of the historical structures on the estate.
