PENDER COUNTY -- We have some new information about last week's fires in Pender County. The Division of Forest Resources cited two men in connection with last Monday's fire.
That fire burned 1,000 acres before firefighters contained it.
George Dale of Delco and James Kye of Wilmington are charged with a class three misdemeanor and face up to a $50 fine plus court costs.
In Wednesday's fire in Hampstead the division issued a warning ticket to Shawn Brumley of Jamestown, Kentucky.
Authorities say sparks from a torch used to cut metal sparked that fire.
