NewsChannel 3 employees win One-Take Film Festival

READ MORE:

Several members of the WWAY NewsChannel 3 production crew and Chief Meteorologist Chris Phillips brought home first place in last weekend's One-Take Film Festival here in Wilmington. Their eight-minute movie Mime Unit follows two police officers as they try to rid the city of mime crime.

WWAY Production Assistant Chris Bowen directed the film, that also featured NewsChannel 3 colleagues J.R. Quitman, Paul Blackmore, Stu Barnes, Geoff Goss, Ryan Pope, Jimmy Smith and Mike Stewart. The movie was shot without any video edits. When they made a mistake, the crew had to rewind the tape and rerecord the scene. The group beat out 15 other teams to garner top honors.
