Families enjoy an Eggstravaganza at Halyburton Park Sunday

Easter may be a week away, but that did not stop folks from gathering at Halyburton Park for a family Eggstravaganza Sunday.

Children of all ages took part in egg hunts, a bunny hop dance contest and face painting. UNCW Event Management students looking to get some real world experience organized the event. The kids said their favorite part was seeing the Easter bunny.

“We get to take pictures of him and I like to take pictures of him and I get to see him,” said Baylor Tietien of Wilmington.

Donations were collected for raffle prizes and food. All money went to benefit the YMCA of the Lower Cape Fear Region.
