Wilmington city pools will be open to swimmers Saturday, with one exception.

The Northside Pool on Bess Street will remain closed for the summer season. City officials say budget cuts, coupled with low attendance, are the reasons why it is not opening. The splash pad, located next to the pool, will be open for play and is free.

City pools cost one dollar for kids, and two dollars for adults.
