Volunteer event looking for work

A citywide volunteer event is looking for work. Leadership Wilmington is soliciting projects to be part of Work on Wilmington 2010. Hundreds of volunteers will work around the city the morning of April 17 to do things like plant trees and paint, as they did this year.

Projects should have a lasting benefit to the community that can be finished in four hours and unlikely to be done without the help of Work on Wilmington. The program started back in 2006 as Hands on Wilmington.

Nominations must be submitted by December 31. For more information go to http://www.workonwilmington.com.
