Wilmington Police looking for help in fatal shooting of teenager

A 17-year-old Wilmington boy died Sunday, after someone shot him in downtown Wilmington Saturday night. Now Wilmington Police need your help finding his killer.

Tyshawn Gause was shot Saturday night, just before midnight, on the sidewalk in the 500 of North Eighth Street. Gause was conscious and talking when he was taken to the hospital Saturday, but he died from his injuries Sunday afternoon.

Detectives want anyone with any information to call 910-343-3600, or you can text an anonymous tip. Text 708 and send your message to ‘Crimes."
