US Airways taking away frequent flyer miles

READ MORE:
WILMINGTON -- If you haven't used your dividend miles or built up any new miles in the past 18 months, US Airways will take away all of your miles today. You do still have some options available to you if you want to keep your miles but are not taking a trip today. US Airways says you can download iTunes at two miles per song, or go to its store and shop to keep the miles. Travelers we spoke with today said the policy is ridiculous. Traveler Donna Putnam said, "I think it's unfair. There are some people who can only travel once or twice a year and it's hard for them to rack up enough points for a ticket. It seems like the airlines are basically saying if you don't keep buying then don't join the program." Other airlines have made similar changes to their frequent flyer program.
