Still no closure, 3 years after woman's disappearance

Wilmington police are still investigating the death of a Wilmington woman, hree years after her disappearance.

Thursday marks the third anniversary of Allison Jackson Foy's disappearance. Foy's family also considers it the anniversary of her death.

She was last seen leaving Junction Pub and Billiards off Carolina Beach Road in 2006. In April of 2008, two sets of human remains were later found in a wooded area about a mile away. DNA evidence later confirmed the remains belonged to two women. One was Angela Rothen. The other, Allison Foy.

WWAY spoke with Foy's sister Lisa Valentino over the phone.

"Is always a mixed day," Valentino said. "I do my crying usually. And then I try to do something to honor Allison and live my life in a way today that she would have wanted me to by celebrating her life, as opposed to being upset and living in the moment."

Valentino says she wants to see the person who murdered her sister to face justice.
Wilmington Police declined comment Thursday, but did confirm their original suspect, cab driver Tim Iannone, who was at one point cleared of suspicion. He has been a suspect again for the last three months.
