Sewer line repair to begin next week

WILMINGTON -- Sewer line repair is set to resume early next week in the Bradley Creek area.

New Hanover County halted bypass pumping after three accidental spills sent more than 1,300 gallons of untreated wastewater into Bradley Creek.

Contractors have extra safeguards in place to prevent further spills from the temporary sewer lines.

The sewer line rehabilitation project began May 31 and is expected to be completed by the end of August.
