...paint it on the bridge, put up signs with flashing lights and fireworks every night for 30 days and you would still have those that would say they knew nothing about it! They'll sit in clogged up traffic for three hours with the other 10,000 people that didn't look or listen and THEN complain about it!

Closing the bridge this weekend shows poor planning and a total disregard for the local community or awareness of income generating events that would severely impact the local vendors and businesses. In a community with such limited access across the river, more care needs to be given and more communication between departments before closings of this nature occur.
The DOT could send bright pink notices to every household...
