Coack K records 700 victories at Duke

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Duke's Mike Krzyzewski has reached another coaching milestone.

Krzyzewski recorded his 700th win at Duke during the Blue Devils' 71-to-62 win over Georgia Tech yesterday.

That puts Krzyzewski's record at 700-and-198 in his 27th season at Duke. The coach now has a career record of 773-and-257.

The student section serenaded him with a "Coach K" chant during a postgame ceremony to mark the occasion, which he called "a nice surprise."

But Krzyzewski was clearly more excited about the Atlantic Coast Conference victory.

Greg Paulus hit four 3-pointers and finished with 15 points. Jon Scheyer had 14 points and DeMarcus Nelson added 13 points for the Blue Devils, who are now 20-and-7 overall and 7-and-6 in the ACC.
