WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH -- If you're looking forward to hitting the beach in the coming months get ready to pay.

Beginning Thursday Wrightsville Beach will resume enforcing parking regulations.

It will cost $1.50 per hour to park between nine a.m. and six p.m.

Those are the same rules as last year.

Town Manager Bob Simpson says the town generated about $1.3 million in revenue from parking meters last summer.

money for meters

This is a shame that the town of wrightsville beach think they have the right to up money for the meters. Without Wilmington residents your small community would perish!!! Just think if ya"ll didn't have tourist, you wouldn't have anything! I am not coming back to the beach and supporting your funds anymore. All of you Wrightsville beach big wigs need the air knocked out of you.
