Welcome to the Blogosphere, WWAY

Some of you probably know what blogs are. Some of you may have heard the term but are not sure about it. Others may have seen the link on our website and clicked out of curiosity.
So what is a blog? Well, the term itself is a contraction of weblog, which is basically a an online journal. But in the last few years, blogs have exploded into so much more. When the Internet popped onto the scene a decade ago, websites about just about every topic, theme and interest sprang up on the so-called Information Super Highway. You had to figure eventually we'd need to take that a step further. And that's just what blogs have done. Instead of just viewing static information, bloggers now contribute insights, opinions, propaganda and so much more, while often letting their readers reply with their own set of views. Some bloggers even go so far as to call themselves "Citizen Journalists" due to their "reporting" of "news" and other happenings, blurring the lines between real journalism and the proliferation of rumor and innuendo as news. There are many rules in journalism for those of us who produce it. For those of you who consume it, I offer this single rule: Consider the source.
That being said, I certainly don't want you to think blogs are bad. Quite the contrary. Blogs have given John Q. Public a voice that resonates in a way that no other medium has allowed before. But what is perhaps best about blogs is that they can be used for just about anything.
As we launch WWAY BlogChannel 3, there's no telling what you'll see here in the future. Hopefully, Wuzzardo's World will be just the first of many blogs on this site. I intend to use it to better interact with you, the TV viewer/blog reader, to get a better idea of what's important and interesting to you. It will also give you a little more insight into who I am and what I do. There may be times I give you an inside look at how things work in television. Sometimes I might just discuss or opine on a hot issue of the day or topics that I find interesting. And what's more, I want to hear from you. If you have something to say or a question to ask, post a reply to my blog or send me an e-mail at email@example.com. That might even prompt another post.
So for those of you lucky enough to stumble upon this initial post, welcome. I look forward to leading you on this journey into the blogosphere, where you never know quite what to expect.
